SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1054
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Elaine Walker, who is retiring after more than 15 years
  of loyal service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public
  Accounts and nearly 29 years of service with the state; and
 
         WHEREAS, Elaine joined the comptroller's office after
  spending 13 years and three months in the Office of the State
  Treasury; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout her career with the state, she has been
  noted for her versatility and her expertise in a variety of
  fields; and
 
         WHEREAS, During her service in both offices, she handled
  her wide-ranging responsibilities with exceptional skill and
  dedication; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, Elaine has earned the
  respect and admiration of her colleagues, and her presence in the
  Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
  missed; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Elaine Walker on her exceptional
  career and on her many contributions to our state and extend to
  her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it
  further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
