SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1055
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Albert Anthony Pinnelli, Sr.
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
  citizens of Elgin in mourning the loss of Albert Anthony
  Pinnelli, Sr., who died May 15, 2011, at the age of 89; and
         WHEREAS, Albert Pinnelli was born on February 10, 1922, in
  Summit, New Jersey, to Italian immigrants; he attended Rutgers
  University before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1942; he
  attended the United States Navy Laboratory School and was
  assigned to the Shoemaker Naval Base near San Francisco, where
  his future wife, Jean, was a Wave secretary assigned to a Naval
  psychiatrist; and
         WHEREAS, Al and Jean Fleming were married after the
  conclusion of World War II and moved from San Francisco to Elgin;
  Al joined the staff of Fleming Hospital and managed the
  laboratory, radiology, and purchasing departments; he also spent
  33 years as a factory representative supplying hospitals in five
  states with medical equipment; and
         WHEREAS, Al was dedicated to helping his fellow man and
  lived by the highest of standards and ethics; he was noted for his
  generous spirit, his integrity, and his willingness to give of
  his time and energy to others; and
         WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman who was beloved by
  his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed by all who
  were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Albert Anthony Pinnelli, Sr.: his wife of 66 years,
  Jean Fleming Pinnelli; his sons and daughters-in-law, Albert
  Pinnelli, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, and Joe and Janis Pinnelli;
  his sister, Lucille Adams; and his four grandchildren and nine
  great-grandchildren; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Albert Pinnelli, Sr.
