SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1125
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize John F. Carter for his entrepreneurial small-business
  success and his demonstrated excellence and innovation in market
  trading techniques and advice; and
         WHEREAS, John F. Carter is a Fort Worth native, author, and
  entrepreneur, who has built an award-winning, nationally
  recognized online day-trading business and trading subscriber
  service; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Carter graduated from Southwestern High
  School in Fort Worth in 1987, studied at the University of
  Cambridge in England, and earned his bachelor's degree in history
  and economics from The University of Texas; and
         WHEREAS, He began his career as a Morgan Stanley broker,
  started his own venture in day-trading, and launched his
  web-based business TradeTheMarkets.com in 1999; and
         WHEREAS, John F. Carter was commissioned by McGraw Hill to
  write a book on market trading and went on to publish the
  best-selling "Mastering the Trade" in 2006; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Carter's business has grown to include offices
  in Austin and Chicago, and he has more than 10,000 followers to
  the subscriber service and daily newsletter; and
         WHEREAS, His company, TradeTheMarkets.com, was recognized
  in 2009 and 2010 by inclusion on Inc. magazine's list of America's
  5,000 fastest-growing private companies; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend John F. Carter, whose parents live in
  Senate District 10, on his inspiring entrepreneurial spirit and
  example of excellence; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  this exemplary entrepreneur and his outstanding company as an
  expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
