SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1126

John Edward Andrade, Sr. |
|
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and |
|
commemorates the life of Private First Class John Edward Andrade, |
|
Sr., who died August 7, 2010, at the age of 19; and |
|
WHEREAS, John Andrade was bravely serving his country with |
|
the United States Army in Kandahar, Afghanistan, when he made the |
|
ultimate sacrifice; and |
|
WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt of gratitude to our |
|
nation's servicemen and servicewomen, whose courageous efforts |
|
and enormous sacrifices are deserving of their fellow citizens' |
|
deepest respect and admiration; and |
|
WHEREAS, John was an exemplary serviceman, and his valor |
|
and devotion to duty exemplified his steadfast resolve and |
|
patriotism; and |
|
WHEREAS, John Andrade was beloved and respected for his |
|
high standards and principles, and he leaves behind memories that |
|
will be cherished forever by his family and many friends; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd |
|
Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved |
|
family of Private First Class John Edward Andrade, Sr.; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for |
|
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas |
|
Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in |
|
memory of John Andrade. |
