SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1138
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Bob Macy for his outstanding service on the Richardson
  City Council; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to the Richardson community and to his
  work, Mr. Macy has used his knowledge, experience, and skills to
  manage effectively the responsibilities of a councilman's
  position; and
         WHEREAS, A distinguished public servant, he has helped to
  coordinate the Richardson city activities and has fostered a
  number of neighborhood and citywide projects on behalf of area
  residents; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the Korean War and a former employee
  of General Dynamics, Mr. Macy moved his family to Richardson in
  1969 and later joined Sun Oil Company; following his retirement,
  he has volunteered more than 6,000 hours to city activities; and
         WHEREAS, He serves on the Richardson Regional Hospital
  Foundation Board and is a volunteer chaplain at the hospital; he
  was a cofounder of the Stephen Ministry at the First United
  Methodist Church; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman and a well-known community
  leader, Mr. Macy is admired and respected by his colleagues in
  city government and by the citizens of Richardson; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend Bob Macy for his valuable
  contributions to the City of Richardson during his service as a
  councilman and extend to him best wishes for the future; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
