SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1141
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
  recognizing the class of 1961 of Edgewood High School of San
  Antonio, Texas; and
 
         WHEREAS, The members of the class of 1961 are celebrating
  the 50th anniversary of their graduation with a reunion on June
  19, 2011; although the high school closed in 1996, it continues
  to serve the Edgewood community as the Academy of Fine Arts; and
 
         WHEREAS, This reunion is an opportunity for the class
  members to reminisce about the many high school adventures they
  shared and the reunion activities of years past; and
 
         WHEREAS, In gathering together to celebrate their 50th
  reunion, the members of the class of 1961 are expressing their
  longtime commitment to tradition, unity, and loyal friendship; and
 
         WHEREAS, The students of the class of 1961 became leaders
  and productive members of their communities, and they deserve to
  be proud of their many successful endeavors; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby commend the members of the class of 1961 for
  their innumerable accomplishments and extend best wishes to all
  for a joyful and rewarding 50th reunion; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  them as an expression of regard from the Texas Senate.
