SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1215

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Eric Sermeno on the auspicious occasion of his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf; and

WHEREAS, Talented and hardworking, Eric is a respected and well-liked student and an exemplary young man who strives for excellence in all his endeavors; he was a member of the silver honor roll throughout his years of high school at the Texas School for the Deaf and won the Citizenship Award in the 10th and 11th grades; and

WHEREAS, Eric has been active in numerous educational and extracurricular activities, including art, digital and interactive media, culinary arts, track, student body government, and Bigger, Faster, Stronger; he also earned Outstanding Student in American Sign Language; and

WHEREAS, Having faced the challenges of a high school education with success and distinction, Eric now embarks into a world for which he is well prepared and which holds countless opportunities for him; and

WHEREAS, A high achiever, Eric establishes and pursues his goals with perseverance and a clear vision of his future; his notable accomplishments in school bear witness to his dedication and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby commend Eric Sermeno on the occasion of his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him best wishes for success in the years ahead; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
