SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1223

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Candido Mejia of Roberts County on the happy occasion of his graduation from Miami High School on May 27, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Talented and hardworking, Candido is a respected and well-liked student and an exemplary young man who strives for excellence in all of his endeavors; and

WHEREAS, He is a member of the National Honor Society, and he has had perfect attendance throughout his school years; he played varsity football and basketball, and he will be attending Oklahoma State University; and

WHEREAS, He has faced many challenges over the years preparing for his graduation, and he has demonstrated exceptional diligence and determination in achieving the goals he set for himself; and

WHEREAS, Candido can now embark on an adventure into a world for which he is well prepared and which holds countless exciting opportunities for him; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, hereby congratulate Candido Mejia on his graduation from Miami High School and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
