SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1232
 
 
  In Memory
  of
  Bobby Ray Miller
 
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Bobby Ray Miller, who died February 21, 2011,
  at the age of 64; and
         WHEREAS, Bobby Ray Miller was born August 19, 1946, in Pilot
  Point; he enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18 and
  served with distinction for 22 years; he served two tours in
  Vietnam and he was stationed in Germany; he won numerous
  commendations for his exemplary service, including the National
  Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with four service
  stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnamese Cross
  of Gallantry with Palm, and the Army Commendation Medal; and
         WHEREAS, Following his retirement from the military, he moved
  with his family to Fort Worth, where he continued his legacy of
  public service through his work at the University of North Texas
  Health Science Center and the City of North Richland Hills; and
         WHEREAS, A man of courage, strength, and compassion, he gave
  generously to others, and his wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel
  will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and
         WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father, and he leaves
  behind memories that will be cherished forever by his family and
  many friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
  family of Bobby Miller; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Bobby Ray Miller.
