No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the commissioner from considering results of state assessment instruments given to a student who is a recent immigrant and limited English proficient (LEP) for a period of three years after the student’s initial enrollment in a school in the United States in evaluating school district and campus performance.

State costs are not estimated to be significant.
