No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 481.078 of the Government Code relating to the use of the Texas Enterprise Fund for veterans hospitals. The bill would authorize the fund to be used for the establishment, maintenance or operation of veterans hospitals in the State. The bill would amend reporting requirements for grants as defined by the provisions of the bill.
 
According to the Office of the Governor, there would be costs if the fund was utilized for the purpose of establishment, maintenance or operation of veterans hospitals in the State; however, the amounts cannot be estimated.

The Veteran's Commission reported no fiscal impact to the State or local governments is anticipated.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
