No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code requiring certain information concerning a resident of the state that is disclosed by a member of the legislature or the lieutenant governor to a governmental body to remain confidential unless the member or lieutenant governor elected to disclose the information.

 

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house. If the bill does not receive the votes required to pass, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
