No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code regarding what constitutes certain Class C misdemeanor gambling offenses and what constitutes a defense to prosecution. It is anticipated that costs associated with enforcement and prosecution of these gambling offenses could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

The bill would repeal Section 47.02(e) of the Penal Code.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
