No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the exclusion of certain witnesses during a criminal proceeding. The bill would allow the prosecuting attorney to designate certain persons to serve as a court room representative during a criminal proceeding. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures on those serving as witnesses, the change is not anticipated to increase the workload of the courts. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
