IN RE:	HB184 by Johnson (Relating to the cancellation of a special election to fill a vacancy in the legislature.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Secretary of State to declare an unopposed candidate elected to fill a vacancy in certain circumstances and by certain timeframes.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.  It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
