No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to provide authority for inmate release notifications to be provided by email or other electronic communication.  No significant fiscal impact from the bill is anticipated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
