IN RE:
HB384 by Menendez (Relating to the proper identification of boats and outboard motors.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend portions of the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to the proper identification of boats and outboard numbers. The bill would provide that no person may display on a vessel, a registration decal that is altered or fraudulent; nor may a person sell or purchase a vessel with an identification number that has been altered or removed. To the extent the bill may result in increased fines for failure to display proper identification, no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members in both houses. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
