No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code to refer certain hearings to the State Office of Administrative Hearings following the receipt of either a petition signed by at least 15 home owners or tenants who reside on property located within 200 feet of the property line of permitted/licensed premises or a resolution adopted by a majority vote of a neighborhood association having boundaries and containing property primarily used for residential purposes within 200 feet of the property line of permitted/licensed premises.  The State Office of Administrative Hearings and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicate that no fiscal implication is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
