No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the confidentiality of certain information held by a veterinarian to clarify additional circumstances and purposes for which the confidentiality privilege would be waived. The bill would also clarify confidentiality requirements regarding information obtained from veterinarians for public health purposes.
 
Based on the analysis of the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, it is assumed that responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
