No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to prohibit state governmental entities from using credit information or credit scores when making an employment decision. This restriction would not apply to applicants applying for a position: (1) with direct access to money or negotiable instruments; (2) as a peace officer; (3) as a corrections officers; or (4) investigating possible violations of law or rule.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
