HB482 by Dutton (Relating to agreed orders in family law matters.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to provide that an agreed order in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship or other suit must be signed by each party and by each of their attorneys before the judge may sign the order and enter it into the record.  An agreed order which is not executed pursuant to this new section would not be valid.  The bill would not result in an impact on judicial workloads or fiscal implication to the state.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
