HB486 by Dutton (Relating to the application of certain disability payments in connection with a claim for child support arrearages.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code regarding child support payments and specifies additional categories for an affirmative defense related to arrearages. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
