Local Government Impact

The University Interscholastic League estimates the local cost to provide cognitive-linguistic or neurocognitive assessment exams at approximately $1.5 million in annual costs across all school districts.  UIL estimates $3 for each exam issued to approximately 500,000 state-wide high school students (does not include junior high students) beginning with the school year 2012-13.  School districts could charge a fee to recover the cost of the exam.
