HB677 by Lucio III (Relating to cognitive-linguistic or neurocognitive assessments of participants in extracurricular athletic activities sponsored or sanctioned by the University Interscholastic League.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
The University Interscholastic League estimates the local cost to provide cognitive-linguistic or neurocognitive assessment exams at approximately $1.5 million in annual costs across all school districts. UIL estimates $3 for each exam issued to approximately 500,000 state-wide high school students (does not include junior high students) beginning with the school year 2012-13. School districts could charge a fee to recover the cost of the exam.
