No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill amends the Occupations Code to prohibit the commission from adopting rules undeer Subsection (d) that place a training provider on at-risk probationary status based solely on the scores of the provider's students on licensing examinations if at least 80 percent of the provider's students pass by the student's third attempt to take the exam. The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards has determined that the cost of implementing the provisions of this bill would not be significant.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.
