No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code and require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to develop and update a publication that provides information to prospective fathers. In addition, the bill would require that the OAG make the publication available to the public and certain agencies, organizations, and health related entities. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
