IN RE:	HB921 by Lewis (Relating to the reimbursement of certain medical, dental, or health-related services as a condition of community supervision and to the revocation of community supervision for failure to make certain payments.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to add reimbursement of certain medical, dental, or health-related services to the county in which a defendant was confined in a county jail to the list of conditions of community supervision that a judge would be required to determine.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

There could be a positive fiscal impact to a county that receives reimbursement for certain services by a defendant, but the amount would vary depending on the number of eligible defendants and the amount of the related expenses incurred by the county.
