No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to permit the Department of Public Safety to disclose certain address-related information to the Secretary of State (SOS) for voter registration purposes. The bill would also require voter registrars to conduct certain investigations. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote of all the members of each house. Otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
