No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Utilities Code to require that electric utilities offer a standard retail service package on a standard form with standard terms to a customer. The bill would require the Public Utility Commission to adopt rules to implement the provisions of the bill.
Based on the analysis of the Public Utility Commission it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
