The bill would amend the Local Government Code related to the authority of a governing body of a municipality or a county to contract with certain entities for collection of special assessments.

Local Government Impact

It is assumed that a municipality or a county would contract for the collection of special assessments only if sufficient funds were available. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
