No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to adopt the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act. The Act would authorize a court to order "abduction prevention measures in a child custody proceeding." To the extent the bill would amend court procedures, no significant increase in court filings or workloads, nor fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
