No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a constable to execute a blanket surety bond to cover more than one reserve deputy constable. The bill also would authorize a county to self-insure against losses instead of a reserve deputy constable executing an individual or blanket surety bond.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
