IN RE:
HB1254 by Pickett (Relating to consideration of the consolidation of school district peace officers and security personnel in certain counties.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Comptroller estimates they may have cost associated with this bill for the oversight of consultants to conduct the audits of the school districts in a county affected by this bill. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  There may be some administrative costs to the affected school districts to review the audits, conduct discussions, and develop and submit a report to the commissioner of education.
