HB1270 by Murphy (Relating to residency requirements for deputy voter registrars.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to require a regular or volunteer deputy registrar to have resided in Texas for six months prior to the date of the appointment and would require the Secretary of State to prescribe procedures to implement the provisions.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
