No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to allow certain persons authorized by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to take or analyze a breath specimen to access or use electronically readable information derived from a driver’s license, commercial driver’s license, or personal identification card. The bill would take effect immediately upon a two-thirds vote of all the members in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011.  No significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
