No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code regarding procedures for drawing a blood specimen from a vehicle operator to test for alcohol concentration or other intoxicating substances as those procedures would affect law enforcement and certain medical personnel. The bill also would include persons that would be authorized to draw a blood specimen.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
