No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize a hospital created under general or special law to employ a physician and retain all or part of the professional income generated by the physician for medical services provided at the hospital.
Local Government Impact
There would be a significant positive fiscal impact to the applicable hospitals under the provisions of the bill; however, those amounts would vary depending on the number of physicians hired and the services provided.
