No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would continue subchapter M of the Government Code, Monitoring and Enhancement of Health and Human Services Information Technology Systems, which requires a variety of oversight activities of eligibility systems and staffing needs. This subchapter is set to expire September 1, 2011; the bill would continue the subchapter to September 1, 2015.

The bill would take effect August 31, 2011.

It is assumed duties and responsibilities associated with continuing the provisions of subchapter M, Government Code, can be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
