TO:
Honorable Joe Deshotel, Chair, House Committee on Business & Industry

IN RE:
HB1827 by McClendon (Relating to the ability of a nonexempt employee to participate in certain academic, extracurricular, and developmental activities of the employee's child.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the ability of a nonexempt employee to participate in certain academic, extracurricular, and developmental activities of the employee's child.  This analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions
of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources within the Texas Workforce Commission.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
