No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize a commissioners court of a county in which an emergency services district is located to remove a board member for incompetency, misconduct or official misconduct by an order adopted by a majority vote.

 

The bill would amend Government Code to allow a deliberation regarding the removal of a board member to be conducted as a closed meeting in the same manner as a deliberation regarding the dismissal of a member of an advisory board.
