No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to allow a poll watcher to have possession of a mechanical or electronic means of recording images or sounds for the purpose of reporting to the authority holding the election, the secretary of state, the attorney general, or a law enforcement officer an irregularity or violation of law relating to the election.

The bill would repeal Section 33.051(c) of the Election Code.
