No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 461 of the Transportation to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to conduct a study of public transportation services in Texas designed for people with disabilities. The bill would require TxDOT to report and make recommendations on the findings of the study no later than January 1, 2013. The provisions of the bill would expire on March 1, 2013.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
