TO:
Honorable Troy Fraser, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2133 by Solomons (Relating to the Public Utility Commission of Texas' authority to disgorge revenue obtained as a result of certain violations; providing an administrative penalty.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Utilities Code relating to the Public Utility Commission's (PUC) authority to disgorge revenue obtained as a result of certain violations. The bill would require the PUC to adopt rules to implement the provisions of the bill.

Based on the analysis of the PUC, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
