No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to clarify that the provisions of the Declaratory Judgment Act do not waive sovereign immunity. The bill amendment would have no appreciable impact on judicial workloads, and no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
