No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Tax Code to require the county assessor-collector and the chief appraiser of an appraisal district that maintain an Internet website to post, as appropriate, certain information regarding ad valorem tax rates for the most recent five tax years that each taxing unit imposes in the current tax year.
The bill would require the Comptroller of Public Accounts to prescribe the requirements for the information.
