HB2345 by Hochberg (Relating to financial assistance for resident undergraduate and graduate students.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Sections 56.011 and 56.012 of the Education Code to state these sections, which specify a portion of designated tuition set asides must be used for financial assistance, do not apply to increases in tuitions in excess of $46 per semester credit hour that occur after February 1, 2011, to the extent that such increases are matched by a equal reduction in required student fees.  Provisions of the bill would be implemented within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
