No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow the board of directors of an appraisal district to employ a general counsel to the district to serve at the will of the board. The general counsel would provide counsel directly to the board and perform other duties and responsibilities as determined by the board. The general counsel would be entitled to compensation as provided by the budget adopted by the board.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
