No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the family code and acknowledgement of paternity procedures. The bill would remove the time limit to challenge an acknowledgement of paternity and revises the procedures and requirements for rescinding an acknowledgement. It is anticipated that any additional costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.
