HB2487 by Murphy (relating to the residence address of a person for purposes of registration under the Election Code.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code relating to the residence address for purposes of registering to vote.  The Secretary of State would be required to adopt rules for implementation.  It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
