HB2589 by Pena (Relating to the delivery of a voter registration application to the registrar by a volunteer deputy registrar; providing a criminal penalty.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to create an offense, classified as a state jail felony, if a volunteer deputy registrar knowingly causes a completed voter registration application containing false information to be delivered to the registrar.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
