No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to define “provider” as a public transportation provider that provides public transportation for people with disabilities, and “services” as public transportation services provided by a public transportation provider designed for people with disabilities. A provider would be required to determine if a person who seeks to use a provider’s services while visiting the provider’s service area is eligible within 48 hours after an individual provides the appropriate notice and required documentation.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
